Ethiopian Airlines, government to launch joint investigation

Muscat: Ethiopian Airlines will work with government agencies and aircraft manufacturers to determine what caused the crash of ET 302 just six minutes after take off on Sunday morning
"Following the tragic accident on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 302/10 March which claimed the lives of 149 passengers and eight crew on board, Ethiopian has teamed up with all stakeholders concerned to conduct forensic investigations and identify the identities of the victims," said the airline.
A committee comprising Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and Ethiopian Transport Authority has been set up to carry out the investigation. Once the identities of the deceased are identified, their bodies will be delivered to their families and loved ones.
The statement added, "Ethiopian Airlines has already contacted families of the victims to inform them of the tragic accident.
"Investigations will be carried out to determine the cause of the accident in collaboration with all stakeholders, including the aircraft manufacturer Boeing, Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and other international entities."
