Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth will preside, on Sunday, over the finals of His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup between Dhofar Club and Al Orouba Club at the conclusion of the sports season 2019-2020.
His Highness Sayyid Theyazin said that His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup competition has, since its launch, represented a true translation to the Royal Care, accorded to the sports sector in the Sultanate.
His Highness said, “We are delighted with celebrating this occasion of the finals of His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup on the conclusion of the sports season 2019-2020 between Dhofar Club and Al Orouba Club”.
The history of this competition has left a clear mark in terms of development of the skills of the players, national coaches and referees which resulted in a number of players’ joining the national teams of the Sultanates, he added.
His Highness congratulated the clubs of Dhofar and Al Orouba for qualifying to the final match of His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup. On the occasion, His Highness concluded by extending his sincerity and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik for the Royal Care accorded to sports in the Sultanate.
