Muscat: A simulation laboratory has been inaugurated at the training department of The Royal Hospital's National Cardiac Centre, the hospital said.

A statement issued online said: "The centre is prepared and equipped with the latest technology with the support of Jisr Foundation. The initiative included the delivery of advanced training dolls that simulate realistic situations and contain accurate sensors for vital signs in the body, including heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen concentration. This equipment will help in training health groups to deal with critical and moderate cases of heart disease in a simulated environment."

"It will also be used in training community groups on the principles of first aid and resuscitation (community workshops)," the statement added.
