Oman's Royal Court Affairs receives institutional excellence award

Muscat: Royal Court Affairs, represented by the General Directorate of Information Technology and Communications, received the EFQM European Institutional Excellence Award, which is awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management.

A statement issued online by Royal Court Affairs said: "The EFQM model is an internationally recognised management framework concerned with supporting organisations to achieve managerial success and providing possible solutions towards progress and improving the organisation’s performance through several factors, such as leadership, strategy, human resources, partnership, processes, products and services."

The directorate deserved the award after two years of work to establish the Excellence Center, hold a number of workshops, include the institutional excellence project within the directorate’s strategy, ensure that it matches its vision and mission, develop a clear plan for self-evaluation, and train on the European EFQM program.
