1,000 wild trees planted in Dhofar

Muscat: The Environment Authority has planted 1,000 wild trees at a number of sites which are affiliated to the Authority in Dhofar governorate.

A statement issued online by Environment Authority said, "The General Directorate of the Environment in Dhofar Governorate represented by the Desertification Control Department, with the support of Raysut Cement Company, planted 1,000 wild trees on a number of sites of the authority with the aim of increasing the green cover."

In addition, the authority partnered with Al Madina Cement Company to plant a number of wild trees on the company's site in Al Buraimi Governorate.
