Muscat: In cooperation with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has launched an education-related training program "Eidaad".
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said, "The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation launches an education-related training program "Eidaad", in cooperation with PDO, targeting penultimate year students studying in government and private higher education institutions, and aims to provide students with basic skills for the work environment."
"The program includes in its first batch 223 male and female students, who were selected according to various academic specialisations from various higher education institutions in the Sultanate (government and private) to train at leading companies in the Sultanate. It is planned to start the second batch of the program during the month of September 2021."
"The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Petroleum Development Oman signed an agreement to finance 150 scholarships for the undergraduate level for graduates of the general education diploma for the academic year (2019/2020) from the students of the concession areas to study in private universities and colleges within the Sultanate," the statement added.
