No truth about earth witnessing dark days in December

Muscat: There is no truth to what is being circulated on social media about the earth witnessing three dark days next December. 

The Astronomical Affairs Department of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs said in a statement, ”The earth will witness three dark days in December, which is an unfounded rumour and news that has no chance in the field of science."

While news circulated on social media attributed to the American Space Research Agency, NASA, that the world will witness three days of darkness this year and that will be on December 21, 22 and 23 due to a solar storm that will cause complete darkness on the planet within a period of three days.
