Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Monday received a cable of greetings from His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on the occasion of the 50th National Day of the Renaissance reading as follows:
“Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, May the Almighty Allah protect you! Peace be upon you.
On the dawn of the 50th anniversary of the glorious National Day and, in pursuance of the comprehensive civilisational and developmental renaissance realized in all parts of the Sultanate, I am delighted to greet Your Majesty on this auspicious occasion, in my name and in the name of the Council of Ministers, praying to the Almighty Allah to guard Your Majesty as an inspiration to this nation, support you with triumph and success and protect Your Majesty under His divine care towards the achievement of further progress and prosperity.

Today, the Sultanate takes pride in the progress it made in different spheres—the harvest of five decades of a unique renaissance that covered all parts of the country, a renaissance whose foundations were laid down by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, May the Almighty Allah rest his soul in peace.
The march of bounty will zoom ahead under Your Majesty’s astute leadership, gaining momentum as it applies the latest innovative methodologies of the modern age in all fields of knowledge and sciences and as it explores future horizons through the strategic ‘Oman Vision 2040’.
This ambitious vision focuses on economic growth, the diversification of sources of income and the achievement of financial sustainability, coupled with social security programmes, rationalisation and optimisation of spending and the establishment of high quality systems of education and health—a safe valve for continuous rebuilding in favor of successive generations.
These efforts will continue in earnest quest to achieve further progress and, with firm will, address the challenges of the current stage and all that it requires in terms of sacrifices and cooperation.
On this glorious occasion, the Council of Ministers pledges to work hard to attain the desired goals, so that Oman will continue to relish the bounties of progress and prosperity.
