EA receives cooperation from municipalities to remove residual oil slicks

Muscat: The Municipality of Shalaim and Al Hallaniyat Islands with the Environment Authority (EA) have worked to remove residual oil slicks on the beaches of Al Hallaniyat Islands.  

A statement issued by Municipality of Dhofar said, “Joint cooperation between the Municipality of Dhofar and government agencies, the municipality of Shalaim and Al Hallaniyat Islands supported the efforts of the Environment Authority to remove residual oil slicks on the beaches of Al Hallaniyat Islands.”

“Coordinate with the Environment Authority and the office of the Deputy Governor to provide the necessary labour and equipment to remove these pollutants and clean the beaches from their effects,” the statement added.
