Urgent appeal for blood donation made in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), has appealed to holders of O+ and A+ blood to donate urgently at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.

DBBS said in a statement: "Due to the low levels of stock for blood types of O+ and A+, we appeal to the holders of these two groups to rush to donate blood today at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar."

"The blood donation times from Saturday to Thursday are from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," the statement added.

To book an appointment for blood donation through the WhatsApp application, please send the following information:

 1. Full name with the family name

 2. Civil ID

 3. Type of donation (blood donation / donation of platelets / donation of plasma)

 4. The appropriate day and time for you

The appointment will be confirmed via WhatsApp or via SMS.
