Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues travel guidelines for foreign nationals

Muscat: Within 14 days prior to entering Japan, foreign nationals who have stayed in the countries listed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan will be denied entry into the country. 

This measure has been taken due to the exceptional circumstances as a result of the pandemic. This new move has been in effect since 1st November.

A statement issued online by the Oman Embassy in Tokyo said, "Due to the exceptional circumstances imposed by the pandemic, it is not allowed to enter Japan (except for Japanese nationals or those residing in Japan) who stayed within the 14 days before entering Japan in any of the countries in the list in the link below, which includes most of the countries of the world, including the Sultanate. https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/fna/page4e_001053.html, "
