Group of expats, citizen arrested in Oman

Muscat: A group of expats and a citizen have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on charges of gathering in violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, with the support of the Sohar Special Task Force Police Unit, stopped a group of expatriates and a citizen, for gathering in violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19. Legal procedures are being completed against them."
