Oman bans import of live birds from Kazakhstan

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has issued a ministerial decree banning the import of live birds from the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources said in a statement, “The import of live birds from the Republic of Kazakhstan has been prohibited. It is forbidden to import live birds and their products, derivatives and offal from the Republic of Kazakhstan until the cause of the ban is removed and a decision in this regard is issued.

"With the exception of products that are heat-treated according to the Health law for terrestrial animals issued by the World Organisation Animal Health (OIE),” the ministry added.
