Consumer Protection Authority Chairman inspects markets in Oman

Muscat: The Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, has visited a number of markets in Musandam Governorate.

A statement issued online by the Authority said: "His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali Al Hikmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, visited Musandam Governorate to closely examine the market situation and to examine the efforts made by the authority’s departments in the governorate and the extent to which suppliers adhere to the laws and decisions issued in this regard, especially in light of the circumstances imposed by the pandemic."

"Within the framework of the visit, His Excellency the Chairman of the Authority toured a number of markets and shops in the wilayats of Khasab and Dibba to ensure the availability of goods and the absence of any exaggeration in prices, taking advantage of the current conditions. He thanked the suppliers and the merchants for their cooperation by adhering to the standards of credibility and transparency with consumers, not tampering with prices and paying attention to the quality of goods and not cheating."
