Over OMR 2 billion invested in Sohar Industrial City last year

Muscat: The total volume of investment in the Sohar Industrial City in 2019 exceeded OMR 2 billion the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) said.

Engineer Abdullah bin Salem Al Kaabi, Director General of Sohar Industrial City, explained, "The volume of investments in the industrial city amounted to OMR 2,165,632,684 during the year 2019, with an estimated growth rate of 1.16% compared to the year 2018, as the total volume of investments increased during this year to OMR 24 million."

Abdullah Al Kaabi also said that, "The number of projects until the end of 2019 in Sohar Industrial City amounted to 416, while the total area of the industrial city during the same period reached 29,883,548 square meters, of which 21,157,520 square meters were developed, while the number of the workforce during the same year exceeded 17,000 workers."
