Muscat: Launched under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan, Injaz Oman’s Company Programme and Competition has announced the winners of 6 national awards, including who will represent Oman at the regional contest later this year.
The competition saw high potential enterprises undergoing rigorous panel interviews to exhibit their products and concepts over a two-day period. Nama Group, the main sponsor of the Company Programme and Competition, BP Oman and the National Youth Commission gave accolades at Injaz Oman’s closing ceremony.
With some of the nation’s chief business figures in attendance, Bellora was awarded ‘Best Student Company’ overall and will go forth to represent Oman’s talented youth at the Injaz Al Arab’s competition in 2016.
Additional honours were claimed by Revive, earning the ‘In-country Value’ award, Talqeen scooping ‘Best Advertisement’, Unique taking ‘Best Utilisation of Omani Material’,Econas with ‘Best Sustainable Product’, and Naf walking away with ‘Best Marketing Plan’.
Khalid bin Mohammed Al Zubair, Chairman of Injaz Oman, said, “The vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and his unwavering care for the youth is what drives us to achieve at Injaz Oman. Every project that comes under the umbrella of Injaz Oman is a genuine contribution of Omanis in the development of the nation. Since its launch 10 years ago, Injaz Oman sought to reduce the gap between academic knowledge and the skills required by the private sector. Schools benefiting from Injaz ’s programmes now total over 100 with more than 30 colleges and universities in Oman seeing valuable engagements with their students.”

Interviews were conducted by a panel of judges as an important segment of the competition where participants elaborated on their company’s report, as well as market position, challenges identified by the judges.
