Over 150 Omani nurses begin work at various hospitals

Muscat: More than 170 Omani nurses began working today at various hospitals in the Sultanate, as part of the Ministry's plan to replace expatriates with Omanis.

The names of 172 nurses were announced to replace expatriates in various health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health. The ministry said in a statement: “It has been decided to let them begin work starting on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020, according to the places of work they are nominated for."

The list included the appointment of 62 nurses at Sohar Hospital, 36 nurses at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, 32 nurses at Ibra Hospital, 18 Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali Hospital, 8 nurses at Sur Hospital, 5 in Khasab hospital, 2 nurses in Al Buraimi hospital and one nurse in Haima hospital.
