Health Minister hails Omani doctors working abroad

Muscat: Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, commended the excellent performance of Omani doctors dispatched for study abroad.
He hailed the remarkable progress made by the doctors in their respective specialties.
Dr Ahmed made the statement during a telephonic conversation with Dr Hamad bin Khalifa Al Kalbani, a resident Omani physician at the Cardiac Surgery Department of the University of Sorbonne, Paris.
Dr Al Kalbani is a member of the surgery team of La Betty Celebataire which conducts some rare operations at the international level, among them heart transplants and artificial heart devices.
He took part in the publication of an essay about “Transitioning to Total Artificial Heart” titled “Syncardia” that illustrates approved surgical operations for the success of heart transplants for a 58-year-old patient.
