Members of council of ministers take oath in Oman

Muscat: Members of the Council of Ministers, their highness and excellency, took oath in front of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik at the Al Barakah Palace on Wednesday.

A statement issued online by the Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The oath was taken by their highness and excellency in front of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik at Al Barakah Palace, this morning."

The following ministers took oath:

1. His Highness Sayyid Mansour bin Majid Al Said, Special Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan.

2. His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.

3. His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman.

4. His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

5. His Excellency Sultan bin Salim bin Said Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.

6. His Excellency Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.

7. His Excellency Dr Khalfan bin Said Al Shu’aili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.

8. His Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

9. His Excellency Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

10. His Excellency Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy.

11. His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

12. His Excellency Laila bint Ahmed Al Najar, Minister of Social Development.

13. His Excellency Dr. Mohad bin Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour.
