'An amazing achievement' – cricketing fraternity in awe of Anderson's feat

Southampton: James Anderson became the first fast bowler to 600 Test wickets on Tuesday, 25 August, when he dismissed Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali on day 5 of the third Test against Pakistan.
A month after Stuart Broad reached 500 Test wickets, his partner for long, James Anderson went a step further to become the first ever pace bowler to 600 Test wickets. Only three other bowlers, all of whom are spinners – Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble – have more than 600 wickets in the longest format of the game. Anderson is only behind Muralitharan in terms of balls taken to get to 600 wickets. His incredible feat came in for special praise from teammates, opponents and former cricketers.
