Muscat: The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate has reached 84,509, while the number of recoveries stands at 78,912, which is 93.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths has reached 637, the Ministry of Health has said.
Hospitalised
The Ministry also pointed out that 37 patients were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of COVID-19-infected patients hospitalised currently stands at 406. Of them, 149 are in intensive care units (ICU).
The Ministry of Health also announced that 28 deaths due to COVID-19 had been registered taking the total deaths to 637.
The total number of deaths, according to the Ministry of Health stood at 609 on 20 August 2020. With yesterday’s announcement bringing the total to 637, it means 28 deaths were recorded in a period of four days. -With ONA inputs
