Ministry plans to transform ancient city of Qalhat into archaeological park

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has plans to transform the ancient city of Qalhat into an archaeological park.

Sultan bin Ali Al-Muqbali, Director of the World Heritage Sites Department at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said: "The ancient city of Qalhat is listed on the World Heritage List, and the Ministry has plans to turn it into an archaeological park and a tourist distination that will attract visitors."
