QuizLive to commence in Oman from Friday

The #QuizLive, conducted through a video-conferencing platform, has created a buzz among quizzers. Harnessing the idea of edutainment to keep both the young and the old productively engaged while remaining at home, #QuizLive, the registration of which is still open, will commence from August 21 with the preliminary round.

According to Mobin Beg of Nexus Novel Advertising, “We have been getting a fantastic response to the quiz as people are excited about the new format. Besides the regulars, many new quiz buffs from Oman as well as abroad have been registering for the program. Moreover, the interest evinced by many sponsors to support the event has boosted our confidence.”

Being conducted by the celebrated quizmaster, Murli Pillai, the #QuizLive offers exciting cash prizes and gift hampers for the winners. The fee for registering for the quiz is OMR 10, which entitles the participant to get back OMR 5-worth shopping voucher from supporting sponsors & gift hamper from Mazoon Dairy.

Quiz master, Murli, exuding confidence about the program becoming a grand success, avers, “I am extremely excited about conducting this quiz as I am aware of the high calibre of quizzing in Oman, having been a part of the quizzing fraternity here for a decade or so, both as a quizzer and as a quizmaster. And this will be the first time that an online quiz is being conducted in Oman, which is by itself an exciting concept.”

Explaining the format, Murali said, “The format is very simple. There is a written prelim, subsequent to which there will be two live interactive verbal semi-finals, followed by an exciting mega final. The quiz will be a visual treat and will have different kinds of rounds, never seen in any quiz competition anywhere before, adding to the surprise element with a huge amount of fun thrown in.”
