Oman crime: Drugs seized in Khasab

Khasab: Two citizens were arrested in the Wilayat of Khasab on the charges of possession of heroin by the Directorate of Combating Drugs and Narcotics at the Police Headquarters of Musandam Governorate. The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
The patrols of the Coast Guard Police Station at the Police Headquarters of Dhofar Governorate foiled the smuggling of more than 3,000 packets of Khat kept in several boxes in a boat.
An official source at the Police Headquarters of Dhofar Governorate said that the boats of the coast guard while performing their routine duty seized a boat and arrested an Asian national with the consignment.
The suspect was handed over to the Department of Combating Drugs and Narcotics in Dhofar for legal action.
