Muscat: HSBC Bank Oman has continued its branch refurbishment programme and has transformed three more branches this year, with a total of 19 branches refurbished during the last three years.
This refurbishment programme demonstrates a significant ongoing investment in its branch network. The renovations offer a more modern and aesthetically appealing environment, in line with the bank’s focus on delivering a superior and consistent customer experience at all times, through all channels.
The most recent addition in this programme is the relocation of HSBC branch in Al Khoudh. The new branch is designed to provide a more modern, dynamic and appealing banking environment for the customers and staff alike.
Earlier this year, the bank also refurbished two branches in Al Musanah and in Al Khuwair, which were valuable upgrades to the bank’s branch network in Oman.
Abdul Qader bin Ahmed Al Sumali, general manager and head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, HSBC Bank Oman, said, “Our branch investment programme continues to demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers with the most convenient and up-to-date banking environment in which to undertake their financial requirements.
“We have been absolutely delighted with the response from our customers who have been really pleased with the new look of their branches, and also from our employees who have been similarly energised by their new work space,” he added.
Al Sumali says the branch network investment is complemented by the Bank’s ongoing enhancements to its digital banking platforms, enabling customers to manage their financial affairs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through their preferred channel of choice.
“Our branches are a very important way for our customers to bank with us, especially for their more complex financial needs, however we also realise that our customers' habits are changing. With such a young demographic in Oman, digital will play an ever-increasing role in banking for the future,” said Al Sumali.
“We are seeing younger account holders increasingly using the convenience of internet, mobile banking and telephone banking. Therefore, we have introduced several enhancements to our digital platforms and upgraded our call centre. We will continue to invest in leading digital technologies, leveraging the buying power and scale of the HSBC Group to bring cost effective digital solutions to our customers in Oman,” he explained.
HSBC Bank Oman operates an extensive network of 72 branches and over 120 multifunctional ATMs across the country. Through state-of-the-art delivery channels, the Bank offers products and services designed to serve the needs of retail, corporate and institutional customers.
