Modi inaugurates hospital and metro in Gujarat

Muscat: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new metro and hospital in Gujarat.

In Ahmedabad, Modi inaugurated the first phase of the city's metro and traveled on it before laying the foundation stone for Phase 2.

"It’s a memorable day in Ahmedabad’s history," he tweeted. "Our beloved Ahmedabad gets a Metro!"

"We want to provide convenient, and cost effective transportation in our cities.

He also officially opened the Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in the state, which he said would "improve healthcare infrastructure in Jamnagar and surrounding areas."
