
Muscat: More than 100 infiltrators have been deported and another 63 were arrested last week, the Royal Oman Police announced.
According to authorities, the arrested infiltrators held 'various nationalities'. The suspects were arrested for entering the country illegally.
In a statement online, the police said: "The statistics released by the department anti-infiltration at the Directorate General of Operations and the Royal Oman Police revealed that during the past week, 63 infiltrators from various nationalities were arrested from numerous Wilayats in the Sultanate or entering the country illegally."
"On the other hand, the data also revealed that during the same week, 118 infiltrators were departed in accordance with the legal procedures followed in this regarding," the police added.
