Muscat: Majlis Al Shura held, on Wednesday, its 12th regular session of the 1st annual convening ( 2019/2020) of the ninth term (2019-2023), under the chair of Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura in the presence of the members and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary General of Majlis Al Shura.
The meeting discussed the reports of the permanent committees of Majlis Al Shura. The meeting reviewed the report of the Youth and Human Resources Committee.
Yonus Al Mantheri, Chairman of the Youth and Human Resources Committee said that the Majlis Al Shura has accorded due care and attention to provision of immediate solutions and legal guarantees and necessary protection to nationals working in the private sector along with provision of safe and motivating work environment.
Majlis Al Shura approved the report of the health and environment committee on classification of the private health establishments and regulation of the prices of their services.
The Majlis Al Shura referred to the State Council the proposal of the Services and Social Development Committee on enacting a law to protect the rights of elderly people.
The Committee stressed the necessity of such a law as it would ensure and guarantee the services offered or to be offered to such category.
