Muscat: The International Tent-Pegging Federation (ITPF) has decided to postpone the 2021 World Cup in South Africa to 2022 due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic around the world.
Haitham bin Mohammed Al Lawati, Secretary General of the International Tent-Pegging Federation, said that the decision to postpone the world cup was taken by the Federation’s Board of Directors in a virtual meeting, chaired by Mohammed bin Issa Al Fayrouz, ITPF Chairman.
He added that the decision to postpone the World Cup from 2021 to 2022 came with the approval of the members, because the qualifying championship for the World Cup could not be held due to the pandemic. He added,” Due to shortness of time and COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to postpone the Tent Pegging World Cup.
