Field survey of Oman's seashores underway

Muscat: The Environment Authority is carrying out a field survey of the coastal areas of the Sultanate to determine the deaths and strandings of mammals and sea turtles.

The Authority said: "To complete the field surveys of the seashores of the Sultanate, the Marine Environment Department of the Environment Agency carried out a survey of the beaches of the North Al Batinah Governorate. In cooperation with the Environment Department in the Governorate, to count the deaths and strandings of mammals and sea turtles and assess the condition of the beaches."
