Sumail: With the blessings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, Al Fayha Resthouse was opened in the Wilayat of Sumail, Governorate of A’Dakhiliya on Tuesday.
The tourism facility was set up at the behest of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Bin Taimour with the aim of encouraging domestic tourism. With its neat accommodations, the resort serves as a relaxation stopover along the highway for tourists and visitors exploring Oman’s interior.
Officially opened by Nassr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs, Al Fayha Resthouse consists of a luxury hotel, a multipurpose lounge, a restaurant, and balconies overlooking a swimming pool and external garden.
The multipurpose hall, in particular, is an ideal place for holding different events and activities throughout the year. It will cater to the needs of residents of the Wilayat and adjoining wilayats and establishments.
The resort will enhance efforts to promote domestic tourism and it will contribute to the State’s economic revenues. It will also raise the standards of the tourism sector in a manner that realises tourism goals of Oman Vision 2040.
