Covid-19: Oman's consulate in Australia urges students to follow new measures

Muscat: The Australian government has announced new measures to curb the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and the Consulate General of the Sultanate calls on students on scholarships to comply.

The Consulate General of Oman in Australia said: "The government of the Australian state of Victoria announced some new precautionary measures to limit the outbreak of Covid-19, which will be implemented as of October 19, 2020, and among the most important of these precautionary measures are the following:

1- No specific time for going out for sports or for social gatherings

2- Allowing 10 people from two different homes to go out together.

3- Allowing all members of the same home at the same time to shop or practice sports in places designated, which are located within a geographical area not exceeding 25 km from their residence.

4- Not allowing others to visit their homes.

5- Opening some commercial activities with specific health requirements.

6- Wearing a mask when leaving the house is mandatory in all cities of the state.

"Therefore, the Consulate General appeals to all students on scholarship in the state of Victoria to adhere to the precautionary measures imposed by the Victorian state government. May God protect everyone from all harm," the consulate added.
