Over 400 licenses for various commercial agencies, activities issued in Oman

Muscat: More than 400 commercial agency, professional and oil licenses have been issued during Q2 of the year 2020 , the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion announced.

The Ministry said: "The total number of commercial agencies and professional and oil licenses issued during the second quarter of 2020 reached 405. It was an increase of 6.5% over 380 registrations during the same period in 2019."

The Ministry’s Statistics Department pointed out that these agencies included 284 renewed commercial agencies, 73 modernised or modified commercial agencies, 12 new commercial agencies, 8 cancelled commercial agencies, and 26 licenses to sell petroleum products of all kinds, and two professional licenses."

The Ministry said that the aim of providing commercial agency services through the electronic portal "Invest Easy" was to make the process of registration of investors and their follow up of their transactions easy.
