Covid-19: Hotels asked to restrict access to private beaches

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has published an announcement asking hotels and establishments to not allow guests to use beaches through the day, starting from the 11th of October 2020.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said: "The Ministry would like to draw the attention of hotel establishments to not allow guests to use the beaches, starting from Sunday 11 October 2020 until further notice, in order to avoid legal accountability. Notice boards explaining this restriction in readable and visual formats must be put up in Arabic and English.”

“The ban is the decision of the Supreme Committee to deal with Covid-19, issued on October 9, 2020."
