Covid-19: Violations of Supreme Committee decisions to be dealt with strictly in Oman

Muscat: The Public Prosecution has warned that the violators of the Supreme Committee's decisions on COVID-19 will be dealt with firmly.

A statement issued by the Public Prosecution said :" The Supreme Committee's decision issued on Friday, October 9, 2020, prevents the movement, closure of public places and shops, bans the use of beaches during the specified period, which will take effect from Sunday, October 11, 2020, until Saturday, October 24, 2020.

The Assistant Prosecutor Mohammed bin Said Al Yahyai, Director General of the Public Prosecution in the Governorate of Muscat, Chairman of the Committee in-charge of investigating public health issues, said: "The Public Prosecution will deal firmly with the violators, take all legal measures against them and refer them to prison after prosecution in competent courts.

"The names and photos of the violators will also be published on various media outlets, according to the decision of the esteemed Supreme Committee."

"The Public Prosecution calls upon citizens and residents to fully adhere to the committee’s decisions and to cooperate continuously in the interest of all."the statement added
