SpaceX capsule docks with ISS

Washington: A spacecraft built by SpaceX docked with the International Space Station (ISS) in the second stage of a critical test of the private company’s technology.
The self-guided SpaceX Crew Dragon launched on Saturday on board a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
The crewless mission, called Demo-1, is SpaceX’s chance to show it can build a spaceship that can carry humans. Its missions so far have involved shuttling cargo to the ISS.
The programme aims to end the dependence of US astronauts on the Russian space program to travel to the International Space Station.
