Oman's Minister of Health holds phone talk with British counterpart Lord Bethell

Muscat: Oman's Minister of Health spoke to British Health Minister Lord Bethell over a phone call. 

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Health (MOH) said, "H.E. Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, spoke to British Health Minister Lord Bethell. The two sides touched upon the latest developments on the COVID-19 pandemic as well as means of cooperation between the two countries in providing treatment and vaccines."

"During the phone call, the two sides addressed the role of the World Health Organization in managing the pandemic and the importance of supporting and cooperating with it."

"It is worth mentioning that the Sultanate has joined the Global Alliance for Vaccines & Immunizations (GAVI) which is supervised by the WHO, whereby the coordination between the Sultanate and UK has been made in this regard."
