Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has announced the availability of a number of scholarships from the Swiss government for foreign students.
A statement issued online by the ministry said, "The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific and Innovation - represented by the Directorate General of Scholarships - is pleased to announce the availability of a number of scholarships offered by the Swiss government to foreign students through the Swiss Government Scholarships for Academic Excellence program, which will be in the field of research, doctoral and post-doctoral degrees (not including two degrees BSC Or Masters) for the academic year 2020/2021."

When selecting the candidate, he will be contacted by the Swiss embassy in the Sultanate," the ministry said.
"The deadline for sending applications is on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 and those wishing to compete for these scholarships must submit the form and the required documents to the Swiss Embassy in the Sultanate."
"Please refer to the list of universities recommended for study by the Ministry to verify that the university to be enrolled is within the aforementioned list, through the ministry's website: https://www.mohe.gov.om, Also, those admitted must open an electronic file and obtain the approval of the Ministry to continue studying," the statement added.
