Teenagers receive tips on facing modern-day challenges

Muscat: More than 100 teens and their parents in Oman received expert counselling on the importance of diet and managing challenges in the modern-day, during a webinar organised by Sri Sri Tattva Oman. 

The event, which was called ‘Nutritional Needs for Teens and Tweens’, was held on 24 September.

Rafeeq, Oman’s largest online only supermarket, sponsored the webinar in partnership with Sri Sri Tattva.

During the event, the attendees received advice from Ayurveda physicians Dr Ratna Hiremath and Dr Madhu Harihar, who lead the practice in Oman.

The participants received illuminating answers in response to life issues such as concerns surrounding hormonal changes, the topic of handling picky eaters, avoiding junk food, the impact of sports and exercise, balanced meals, anxiety, special foods, and multivitamin deficiencies, and the need for parents especially to consult a doctor when they needed to find the right solutions to problems they faced.

Mrunal Khimji, an established fashion designer and consultant at Mrunal’s Boutique, moderated the webinar.
