Exercise caution to avoid forest fires in Oman: Environment Authority

Muscat: The Environment Authority has called upon all to avoid actions that may cause pasture and forest fires.

The authority said in a statement: "Dear citizens and residents, during to the end of the autumn season and the beginning of the "Serb" season in the Dhofar Governorate, avoid lighting cooking stoves near tree trunks, throwing cigarette butts on weeds, or leaving fire remnants in picnic areas, to avoid pasture and forest fires."
