Oman's health ministry releases update for Tarassud app

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has released a new update for the Tarassud app for Android and iPhone devices.

A statement issued online by MOH said: "The application enables those coming to the Sultanate to register their personal data before arrival, which will speed up the completion of travel procedures at Muscat International Airport.The application will also allow those coming to the Sultanate to use the medical detector to report their health condition on a daily basis, and the application will also show the person's status through the case registration icon."

"The Tarassud Plus will also be supported by international text messages to register arrivals to the Sultanate through their phone numbers in the traveler's country. One of the most important features of the new update is that it will be supported by the advantage of using optical Character recognition (OCR), for the personal card, passport and boarding pass," the statement added.
