Social insurance contributions deferred in Oman

Muscat: The Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI), has announced the postponement of monthly contributions for the months of September, October, November and December for employers and insured persons.

The Ministry said in a statement, "PASI grants special facilities to employers and insured persons to deal with the impact of the current pandemic, with postponement of monthly contributions from September to December (optional) and exemption from the additional amounts (fines) for delay in paying contributions for these months."

Also continuing is the already given permission of installments for employers and the following facilities: exemption from the interest rate not exceeding 24 installments and not exceeding 18 installments for rescheduling.

"The deadline of submitting installment applications is 31  December 2020."
