Passengers to pay OMR 25 for Covid-19 test: CAA

Muscat: All persons arriving in the Sultanate will be subjected to the COVID-19 PCR test and will have to pay OMR 25 as cost of services, the Authority for Civil Aviation (CAA) has said. 

According to the Coronavirus Travel Guide which has been published by the Authority for Civil Aviation (CAA), only Omanis citizens and residents with valid residency are allowed into the Sultanate without the need for prior approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Coronavirus Travel Guide also said that "All persons arriving in the Sultanate shall download the Tarassud Plus App before arriving or on arrival in Oman. All of the arrivals will be subject to the COVID-19 PCR test and will have to pay the cost of services of OMR 25.”

"All arrivals to Oman for a period from one to seven days shall register in the Tarassud Plus Application, while those arrivals to Oman for a period of eight days or more are obligated to wear Tarassud Plus bracelet and quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days. Aircraft crew and children of age 15 years and less are exempted from COVID-19 PCR test,” the Travel Guide added.
