Tokyo: Athletes competing in next summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo will be required to show negative tests for COVID-19 before entering Japan. A news agency cited a draft plan drawn up by the organisers, which said Japanese athletes and other participants living in Japan would face the same requirements.
The good news is that foreign athletes and other participants will not have to undergo a two-week quarantine period upon arrival.
The 2020 Olympics had been scheduled to take place this past summer but were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
