CMA organises training programme for insurance sector

Muscat: Sultanate's Capital Market Authority (CMA) has resumed its annual training programmes for the national cadres in the insurance sector. CMA held a training programme on medium management skills through video conferencing.
The programme aims to acquaint the participants with advanced skills in medium management to move to the senior management stages. The annual training programmes of Tamkeen initiative aims to empower the national cadres working in the insurance sector through qualitative and digital Omanisation policy under three functional levels: Operations, medium management and senior management to achieve the timeline of the national initiative that started in 2018 in coordination with the Ministry of Labour.
The medium management programme in its advanced level is one of the significant programmes that add administrative skills and the instruments required for running operational works of insurance processes as it targets the participants in the first medium management skills programme besides those who are qualified to move from operational management to medium management. The programme included several points in managerial leadership skills required to increase productivity and application of efficient orientation and assessment techniques. In addition to using technology in problem-solving to overcome the obstacles that face the participants, and dispute resolution using most advanced problem-solving systems, creating change management plans that lead to continued improvement and finally developing efficient work plans for time management were also discussed.
It is noteworthy that Tamkeen vision is based on enhancing the representation of national cadres in medium and senior technical managerial position without focusing on operational roles following specific percentages after consideration of the realities of the manpower in insurance companies and brokers.
