Central fish market, port market to open in Wilayat Saham

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has announced the opening of the central market for fish and port market in the Wilayat of Saham.

A statement issued online said, "The Ministry is pleased to announce that, based on the agreement that took place in a meeting held on 21st September, it has been decided to open the central market and the port market. The port market will open for wholesale and retail sale on Thursday 24th September from 6 am to 10 am to start the retail process."

"All license holders registered in the selling and cutting professions wishing to work in the central fish market or in the port must register their names with the market office in the central market during the period from Tuesday 22 September to Wednesday 23 September. Note that the sites will be distributed according to the capacity and regulatory requirements set. "
