Ministry of Health organises first virtual training workshop on fiscal budget

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Financial Affairs (DGFA) organised the first virtual training workshop on fiscal budget preparation.

The workshop was attended by the directors and head sections of financial affairs and budget departments. The workshop was presented by Fahad Al-Salti, MOH Director of Budget.

The training workshop aimed to discuss the challenges and difficulties, standardize procedures on budget preparation, improve staff competence, as well as enhance the efficiency of financial schemes in order to raise the efficient spending of the health system.

It is worth mentioning that the DGFA is keen to upgrade the fiscal performance of the Ministry, improve effective mechanisms and provide the required support and training to prepare and implement the budget according to the best adopted national practices.
