Don’t announce discount offers without permission: Ministry

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has asked institutions and companies not to announce discounts without permission.

"The Ministry notes that some institutions or companies are conducting discounts and promotional offers through various social media without obtaining prior permits from the Ministry,” the Ministry said in a statement.

"This act is in violation of the regulations governing promotional offers, and the Ministry will take legal action in this regard," the ministry added.
