Muscat: The Committee constituted to address the economic effects of the coronavirus has reviewed the emergency loans programme to help some of the most affected entrepreneurs.
The committee also discussed a number of issues related to the private sector and submitted the recommendations to the Supreme Committee.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "The committee tasked with addressing the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in a meeting, on Wednesday, chaired by the Minister of Interior, reviewed the preventive measures taken to support the sustainability of the business in the private sector institutions and companies.”
The statement added, "The committee reviewed the ability of companies to adapt to the current exceptional situations resulting from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, including packages related to commercial and industrial activities for their revival."
