Organisation declared charitable institution by Minister

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development has issued a ministerial decision to declare Al-Nama a charitable institution.

A statement issued online by the Ministry: "Her Excellency Laila bint Ahmed bin Awadh al-Najar, Minister of Social Development, issued a ministerial decision to declare Al-Nama as a charitable institution based on the Civil Associations Law issued by Royal Decree No. 14/2000 AD."

"The institution aims to help families and insolvent individuals within the Sultanate and to support needy students to complete their University studies, as well as contributing to building social housing and maintaining homes for needy families and providing humanitarian aid in case of emergency such as weather and disasters. In addition to achieving the necessary contribution in any other charitable activities."
